The town of Tulle
The prefecture of Corrèze, renowned for its picturesque villages and gastronomy, Tulle has built its reputation on the development of its industry (arms manufacture) and its crafts: France’s last accordion factory, one of the lace capitals. Today, Tulle has a population of over 15,000.
Over the past few years, Tulle has undergone a major facelift, making it a more pleasant place to live: urban beautification, road improvements, improved public spaces, landscaping, facade renovation and easier travel.
Economic development is a priority, with a policy of supporting and promoting craft, commercial and service businesses. Social development is also a major focus of local policy, with initiatives aimed at young people, the elderly and the disabled.
The arts have pride of place here, with no fewer than 3 festivals organized each year. What’s more, exhibitions, shows, concerts and screenings punctuate the seasons at a steady pace, often free of charge!
Tulle respects the environment and public health. It is committed to sustainable development: it has signed the 0 pesticides charter, encourages waste sorting, has put in place water treatment measures…
