OKTEY is organizing, in collaboration with the Tarn Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Castres-Mazamet Technopole and La Mêlée Numérique, an information meeting on “Halte aux Spams : contexte, techniques et solutions” on Monday September 15, 2008 from 8.30am to 11.30am at the Castres-Mazamet Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Club C – 40 Allées Alphonse Juin – 81100 CASTRES).
Spamming is the bombardment of electronic mailboxes with messages of all kinds, advertising or otherwise. A veritable scourge, it is estimated that around two-thirds of all e-mails exchanged worldwide are spam. The aim of this meeting is to present the general context of Spam, the techniques for combating it and the types of solutions available.
